Brain Implants, 2017

Kernel is building advanced neural interfaces to treat disease, illuminate the mechanisms of intelligence, and extend cognition.

During my internship, I implemented wafer design algorithms, designed photolithography masks, trained on and operated microfabrication equipment, and performed SEM work on device samples. I also researched the neurotechnology market, bio-compatible materials, and mechanical testing processes. Lastly, I had a great time biking around Boston to source, interview, and select our first lab space.
